I was born in 1960 and live in Athens.

I graduated from high School in 1978. I graduated from the College Marie Victorin, based at Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1983, and I studied chemistry at the University of Moncton (New Brunswick, Canada), 1983-85, and at the University of Orleans (Orleans, France), 1985-87.

I have a good command of the English language and an excellent command of the French language.

I attended seminars on the semiotics of photography, of literature and cinema, in 1987-89. I studied photography at Akto College, in Athens, in 1987.

I worked as a journalist in "Exormisi" newspaper, in the cultural section in 1989, and later as chief of the cultural section, in this newspaper, in 1991. I collaborated with the newspapers, "Prin", "Athinaiki", "Niki", and the magazines "Mandragoras", "Grafi", "Yfos", “Outopia” writing articles about the cinema and critics.

I published the magazine "Antikinimatografos" (1992-2000), specialized on the cinema, and "Cinema and Communication" (2000-now) also specialized on the cinema. I am a member of the Association of the Greek Critics of Cinema (PEKK) since 1992 and also a member of the European Documentary Network (EDN), of the Association of the Greek Cultural Journalists (EPS) and finally a member of the Greek Union of Public Affairs.

I have organized seminars related to the narration, editing and directing of non fiction films during November 2002 to June 2003, about structural analysis in the neorealism and the poetic realism during October 2003 to March 2004 about the aesthetics history and direction of cinema during March to December 2004, about the aesthetics history of cinema during March to June 2005 and finally about modern performance in cinema on 11 and 12 June 2005.

As a member of the PEKK, I was a member of the critics committees at the Festival of Drama (short length films). Moreover, I was a member of the critics committees both in "Strange Screen" Festival , in Thessaloniki, in 2000, and the International Short Film Festival of Naousa, in 2005, and finally in the National Committee State Awards, in 2002, 2003.
